edward

i never thought i'd say this:

i'm reading the twilight saga.

and i like it.

like may be an understatement, actually. i might be a little obsessed with it. and i totally mean it in the silly high school way when every little thing feels like your entire life depends on it.

i find myself rushing home, declining offers of socialization with friends, staying up past my bedtime, and forgetting about LOST, all so that i can read just one more chapter of twilight.

though i have yet to fully realize the total obsession-worthiness of robert pattinson the actor, edward the vampire in all his sparkling pale undead glory has utterly succeeded in transporting me back to a time when i was young and silly and high school romantic drama would make my heart and stomach flip flop.

now i must end this post so i can resume new moon.

coach

i've recently become obsessed with old coach bags. it's so simple it's stupid. i love how timeless they are, i love how your grandma can carry it and feel classic, how you can carry it and feel hip, i love how the color becomes burnished with use, from dirt and oil, which, if you think about it, that's actually pretty gross.

and what i especially love about them is how cheap they go for on ebay! this is my new bag that's on it's way, scored for a measly $20.49, plus $8.95 shipping. omg.

people in la buy cars, people in ny buy shoes

recently i've been hoarding money like it was potatoes in a famine, but today i succumbed to the call of the shoe sirens and bought a pair of ankle boots. and i will now proceed to justify this purchase by my sister's observation that people in la spend their money on cars, and people in ny spend their money on shoes. why? transportation. in la, you drive. in ny, you walk.

are these the most ideal boots for walking in current snowy conditions? probably not. but these were $30. you can't get free shoes for that cheap!

delicious and refreshing!

so i quit drinking soda pops a couple of years ago, but sometimes you just need a little sweet with a little fizz. on a shopping trip to ikea, i found elderberry flower drink concentrate, packaged in the cutest generic hip swedish design bottle. what's elderberry flower? i don't know, but it sure makes a deliciously refreshing beverage!

add about a tablespoon of the juice concentrate to about 8oz seltzer water, et voilĂ ! a tasty fizzy soda pop substitute without all the corn syrup and chemical nasty stuff.

hello

and welcome to stim.stil.! it's a blog about sh*t that i made and sh*t that i like. i hope to fill it with stuff i find and/or make while trawling cyberspace and realspace, and relay some amusing tidbits to you, the reader.

hopefully you keep coming back, but even if you don't, we can still be friends.

xo.
